National University of Defense Technology

A cradle for cultivating military commanders and a hub for nurturing generals of the nation. The National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), officially abbreviated as NUDT, has its main campus located in Changsha, Hunan Province. As a comprehensive research-oriented institution of higher education directly under the Central Military Commission, it was designated as one of the 20 national key universities by the CPC Central Committee in 1959. NUDT is among the first batch of universities included in China’s "Project 211", "Project 985" and the military’s "Project 2110" key construction programs, and is also one of the first institutions authorized by the State Council to confer master’s and doctoral degrees.

Prior to the upgrade, the university faced multiple challenges: inadequate information dissemination, weak interaction between teaching and research, slow emergency response, room for improvement in campus management efficiency and security standards, insufficient flexibility and confidentiality, limited resource sharing, outdated technology, inadequate interactivity and information sharing, low decision-making efficiency, lack of equipment technical support, and a weak innovation atmosphere.After the application of VOKON systems, remarkable results have been achieved:​
